What age should I bring my child to the dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends establishing a dental home by the age of 1 or no later than 6 months from when the first tooth erupts.

Establishing a dental home early will allow you and your child to learn best practices before bad habits are formed. A dental home is also very important in case you have a dental emergency. Parents should know a pediatric dentist that they trust and can rely on when there is a pediatric emergency.

Feel free to bring your child to our office for an office tour or to play in our play-yard before their first visit so they can get more comfortable before their actual visit.
Do you allow parents in the treatment rooms?
Of course we do!!! We want to make your child feel at ease and as comfortable as possible. At SVPD, we will not perform any treatment that you are uncomfortable with.
