Dr. James Ikehara was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to San Jose at the age of seven.

 

He graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory and the University of California, Davis. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He received his Master’s Degree from Northwestern University and his Pediatric Dental Certificate from Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

 

Dr. Ikehara was fortunate to practice with his Dad, who was also a Pediatric Dentist. It was with great admiration of his Dad that inspired Dr. Ikehara to become a Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Ikehara eventually took over the practice in 1995.

 

During his spare time, Dr. Ikehara enjoys playing golf, working in his garden, and spending time with his wife and dogs.
